Vegan Chocolate Nut Marble Cake

A plant-based marbled sponge cake with crushed nuts and cocoa.

15 Min.

Preparation

1. Preparing Oven and Pan:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking pan (bundt or loaf pan) and lightly dust with flour.

2. Mixing Dry Ingredients:
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl.

3. Mixing the Batter:
Add the neutral oil and plant milk to the dry ingredients. Mix briefly with a hand mixer until a smooth batter forms.

4. Adding Nuts:
Fold the crushed nuts into the batter.

5. Splitting and Coloring:
Divide the batter into two halves. Stir the baking cocoa into one half (add a splash of extra plant milk if the consistency is too thick).

6. Creating the Marble Effect:
Pour the light batter into the pan first, followed by the dark batter. Use a fork to swirl through the layers to create the pattern.

7. Baking Process:
Bake the cake for approximately 60 minutes. Perform a toothpick test, remove from the oven, and let cool in the pan.
