Toast Bread (Vegan)

Preparation

1. Prepare the dough:
Mix flour, dry yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.

2. Add the liquid ingredients:
Slightly warm the plant-based milk and water (lukewarm) and add them to the flour along with the margarine.

3. Knead:
Knead everything into a smooth dough – for approximately 10 minutes by hand or with a food processor.

4. Let the dough rise:
Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1.5 hours, until it has doubled in size.

5. Second kneading:
Knead the dough again briefly and place it in a greased loaf pan.

6. Second rising time:
Cover and let it rise in the pan for another 45 minutes.

7. Baking:
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 356 °F (top/bottom heat) for about 40 minutes, until the bread is golden brown.

8. Let it cool:
Remove the bread from the pan and let it cool completely before slicing.

• 1 sachet of dried yeast (7 g)
• 35 g vegan margarine
• 150 ml plant-based milk
• 150 ml water
• 10 g sugar
• 5 g salt
