Smoky Vegan Grill Skewers - Made to Sizzle
30 Min.

Preparation
1. Prepare the seitan mixture:
Place the seitan, yeast flakes, water, tomato paste, oil, soy sauce, paprika powder, and vegetable broth in a bowl and knead thoroughly until a malleable, elastic mixture forms.
2. Shaping:
Divide the mixture into 10 equal portions. Roll each portion into a small “sausage” and wrap it spirally around a wooden skewer.
3. Mix the marinade:
Thoroughly combine all the ingredients for the marinade in a bowl: agave syrup, oil, water, soy sauce, tomato paste, mustard, garlic powder, paprika powder, pepper, salt, Italian herbs, and Sriracha sauce.
4. Marinate:
Place the barbecue skewers in a shallow dish or freezer bag and pour the marinade generously over them. Leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
5. Grill or fry:
Grill the skewers over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes on each side or alternatively fry them in a pan with a little oil until they are nice and crispy on the outside.
