Roasted Almonds
10 Min.
Preparation
1. Caramelize the almonds:
Place the almonds, sugar, cinnamon and water in a pan. Heat everything over a medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar has completely melted and the nuts are coated with a shiny layer of sugar.
2. Into the oven - for extra crunch:
Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat. Spread the caramelized almonds on a baking tray lined with baking paper and roast for approx. 15 minutes. Turn them from time to time so that they are crispy all over.
3. Conjure up cinnamon milk from leftover sugar:
As soon as the pan is empty, pour the plant milk directly into it. Heat the milk over a low heat and stir until the remaining cinnamon-sugar mix has completely dissolved in the milk. This makes a delicious cinnamon milk - perfect for snacking on almonds!
4. Serve & enjoy:
Leave the roasted almonds to cool thoroughly and serve with the warm cinnamon milk. Ideal for cozy afternoons, cold winter evenings or as a small gift.
