Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies

Crispy on the outside, chocolaty and soft in the center.

10 Min.

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven:
Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F (top/bottom heat) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the chocolate:
Roughly chop the dark chocolate into small and larger chunks for extra chocolate flavor.

3. Make the dough:
Place flour, sugar, margarine, baking powder, plant-based milk, salt, and vanilla sugar in a bowl and mix until a smooth cookie dough forms.

4. Add chocolate chunks:
Fold the chopped chocolate into the dough until evenly distributed.

5. Shape the cookies:
Roll out the dough to about 1 cm thickness and cut out cookies using a round cutter or a glass.

6. Bake the cookies:
Place them on the baking tray and bake for about 15 minutes until lightly golden.

7. Let them rest:
Allow the cookies to rest on the baking tray for 5–10 minutes before moving them. This helps the chocolate set slightly and keeps the texture perfect.

8. Cool completely:
Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack and let them cool at room temperature for about 30–45 minutes, until the chocolate is fully set.
