Vegan Covered Chocolate Nut Apple Cake

Preparation

1. Prepare ingredients: Mix all dry ingredients – flour, baking powder, vanilla sugar, cocoa, cinnamon, and ground nuts – in a large bowl.

2. Mix wet ingredients: Combine sugar, plant milk, and neutral oil in a separate bowl until smooth.

3. Make the batter: Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir gently until smooth. Avoid overmixing.

4. Prepare springform pan: Grease or line with parchment. Pour all the batter evenly into the pan.

5. Prepare and layer apples: Peel, core, and slice the apples. Arrange them evenly on top of the batter.

6. Bake: Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 30 minutes. Test doneness with a toothpick.

7. Cool and serve: Remove from oven, let cool slightly, release from pan, and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
