Golden Milk - Turmeric Latte (vegan)

The ayurvedic feel-good drink with anti-inflammatory properties.

Preparation

1. Preparing the ingredients:
Peel the ginger and cut it into small pieces. Pit the dates if you haven't already done so. Choose your favorite plant milk and get all the spices ready.

2. Blend everything:
Place the plant milk, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, pepper and dates in a high-powered blender. Blend everything on the highest setting for approx. 1 minute until the milk is creamy and smooth.

3. Optional: Heat up:
If you want to enjoy your Golden Milk warm, pour the mixture into a small saucepan and heat it over a medium heat until it steams - but does not boil. This preserves the valuable ingredients.

4. Serve & enjoy:
Pour the Golden Milk into two cups and enjoy immediately. If you like, you can sprinkle it with a pinch of cinnamon or turmeric.

Ingredients:

(2 portions)

  • 500 ml plant-based milk (e.g. oat, almond or soy milk)
  • 2 cm fresh ginger
  • 2 tsp turmeric (ground or fresh)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 5 pitted dates (alternatively: maple syrup, agave syrup or rice syrup)
