Vegan Jaffa Cakes without Baking

Fruity chia chocolate pralines.

15 Min.

Preparation

1. Prepare the orange juice:
Pour the orange juice into a bowl.

2. Stir in the chia seeds:
Add the chia seeds to the orange juice and stir thoroughly. Make sure that no lumps form.

3. Leave to soak:
Leave the mixture to soak for approx. 10 minutes, then stir well again. The consistency should be gel-like.

4. Fill into molds:
Pour the chia-orange mixture into small praline molds or silicone muffin molds.

5. Chill:
Place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours—ideally overnight—so that the mixture sets completely.

6. Melt the chocolate:
Melt the vegan dark chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler. Stir carefully until it is completely liquid.

7. Coat the pralines:
Remove the solidified chia-orange pralines from the molds, dip them in the melted chocolate, and place them on a cooling rack.

8. Final cooling:
Chill the coated chocolates again until the chocolate has set.

9. Enjoy:
Once the chocolate has set, your vegan Jaffa Cakes are ready to enjoy!
